Experian Identity Document Check undertakes a fully automated check within seconds, providing a clear indication of the validity of identity credentials; it provides a fast and effective solution to the problems of manually authenticating identity documents.
Identity Document Check rapidly scans documents for inconsistencies with a robust checking process that includes verifying a number of features. Within seconds, the system provides an assessment of the validity of the credentials.
Features include:
- Visual check - checks the layout and content of the document
- Ultraviolet light check - checks the features of the document exposed by ultraviolet light e.g. a document watermark.
- Infrared light check - checks the correct existence of infrared ink
- Chip read - opens the chip on an eDcoument e.g. Passport, exposes the photograph and reads the data
- Algorithm check - reads the MRZ and undertakes the appropriate algorithm check
