Do you send:

• large volumes of letters regularly, such as bills and statements?

The Royal Mail has created a variety of schemes, giving you flexibility to choose the one that meets your requirements. Use QAS Mailsort with the following options:

Mailsort 1400

• Mail is sorted into one of the 1,400 Royal Mail selection areas and bagged-up accordingly
• Minimum mail quantity of 4,000 letters required
• Potential discounts of up to 35%

Mailsort 700

• Mail is bar-coded and correctly addressed for faster sorting by the Royal Mail
• Minimum mail quantity of 10,000 items required
• Greater flexibility in the design of envelopes - particularly beneficial for direct mailings
• Barcodes mean you don't have to pass Optical Character Recognition (OCR, standard readable font and size) to benefit from this discount
• Potential discounts of up to 36%

Mailsort 120

• Mailings need to have OCR or a barcode
• Need only sort to the Royal Mail's 120 residue sorting level
• Minimum mail quantity of 4,000 items required
• If mail volumes increase, you can automatically switch to the Mailsort 700 scheme
• Potential discounts of up to 35%

International Bulk Mail

• An extension to Mailsort, Walksort and Presstream
• Allows customers to include international destinations with their domestic bulk mail
• Can also be used for standalone international mailing

Presstream

• Similar to Mailsort 1400, but intended for the distribution of newspapers, newsletters, magazines and journals
• Potential savings of over 10% on mailing publications

Walksort

• Mail is sorted to the level of individual UK postal walks
• Suitable if you send bulk mail to specific areas or locations
• Minimum mail quantity of 4,000 letters required

In order to benefit from the postage discounts offered, certain criteria must be met:

• Mail must be pre-sorted
  QAS Mailsort ensures your mailings are sorted according to the Mailsort scheme you require.
• A minimum number of items must be posted
  QAS Mailsort summarises the mailing so you know exactly what is being posted and volumes.
• At least 90% of your mail must be accurately postcoded
  Use QAS Batch to ensure your mailings are correctly postcoded.
