Business data
"QAS solutions enabled us to clean and enhance our data reducing the database in size, yet lifting the accuracy of our business data to 100%. We've realised that it's not about quantity but the quality of data that makes businesses more efficient."

Where does the data come from?
Experian®, the global information solutions company, provides business services to enable their clients to target, acquire, manage and develop profitable customer relationships. Experian recognised the need for business data and established the new National Business Database in June 2004. The database is compiled from 10 different sources including exclusive access to Yellow Pages data.
Additional data
Business names and addresses can be further enhanced through the use of additional datasets. These additional datasets can be easily integrated within the same QAS interface.
- Telephone and fax numbers: contains telephone and fax number information, providing the main contact numbers for each business.
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes and Yellow Pages/Thomson classification: These codes are used to classify businesses by the activity they are involved in, and the type of products and services they offer. The codes can be used to profile a database of customers or prospects.
- Employee numbers: at a given site/company.
- Location types: Whether the address refers to a head office, a branch of a company, or a single location. A Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) indicator is also available.
- Commercial MOSAIC: For detail mapping of the commercial sectors to help identify future prospects
- Company registration numbers: Use to confirm company details and for legal and invoicing purposes
- Business Location URN: Unique Reference Number of the business location. Used for deduplication and obtaining further information from Experian.
