User of QAS Rapid
QAS Rapid returns one or more street level addresses from a full or partial postcode. The premise number can then be added manually and the complete address can be pasted in a consistent format into your underlying application.
Matching your input against the 1.7 million UK postcodes held on the Royal Mail's Postcode Address File (PAF), QAS Rapid ensures that the address captured is accurate, consistently formatted and correctly spelt.
QAS Rapid provides a flexible solution, specifically for smaller companies and operations where verification of an address to street level is more sufficient for their requirements.
QAS Rapid is capable of searching on partial postcodes, warning when the postcode searched on contains several flats, and returning the correct postcode even if the one used in the original search has subsequently been recoded by the Royal Mail.
Business benefits
Speed: Save up to 80% on the number of keystrokes required to enter an address, increasing operator efficiency and ensuring that customers are dealt with swiftly and professionally.
Accuracy: Updates to the Royal Mail’s Postcode Address File are supplied quarterly, ensuring that the most up-to-date postcode and address details are being used. Monthly updates to PAF can be supplied on request.
Customer relationship management: Enhance your organisation's professional image and ensure that items are correctly delivered.
Cost savings: Accurately addressed mail and shipments help to guarantee delivery first time, hence reducing the costs associated with returned and stray items.
Technical information
Address capture technology: Offers wildcard searching if a digit of the postcode is illegible or unknown, and returns a picklist of close matches. About 1 in 20 postcodes will incorporate numbered flats within a premise address. QAS Rapid warns operators of this, indicating that they should check with the customer for flat and building names or numbers where appropriate.
Address formatting: Can work within any application. It can be configured to automatically detect which application it has been called from and use the address layout appropriate to that application.
Configuration options: Easy to install and available on Windows 2000 and above as well as Unix.
