WaterAid cleans data to fight poverty

WaterAid works with Experian QAS to establish and maintain correct contact details in order to maximise fundraising and help improve the lives of those suffering from poor water sanitation throughout the world.

WaterAid has over 450,000 names and addresses on its database and found that many of these contacts contained inaccurate or incomplete records. This resulted in over 5,000 returned pieces of mail each year. They needed a solution that could eradicate errors and mistakes on their database and, in turn, strengthen their relationship with supporters.

After their experience with Experian QAS's front end data capture software, QAS Pro, WaterAid decided to implement QAS Batch to help clean and maintain their data. As a result, WaterAid have seen an increase in accurate mailings as well as significant time and cost savings.

"We estimate that WaterAid raises an additional £12,000 appeal income each year because of more accurate data on our contacts. We achieve this using Experian QAS software."
