What the Butler saw
Read the latest technology audit. Leading Senior Butler analyst Sarah Burnett concludes the key strategy of QAS Gateway is increased customer service.
She praised the product's speed at accessing the gazetteer data across multiple service areas, "helping public sector organisations improve service efficiency."
In her report, she stressed the importance of the access to the data that QAS Gateway provides. "With the NLPG, the public sector is at an advantage with access to a rich and unique source of standardised address and location information."
She believes that QAS Gateway is a "useful addition to any local authority's data strategy: but dependent on the level of knowledge and use of the LLPG in individual's organisations."
"As the solution is modular and follows the principle of "build once, use many times", multiple instances of the search engine (QAS Pro) can be deployed through any organisation at any time, each of which will still be able to use the built LLPG/NLPG dataset output by the existing Database Builder. This allows new departments to take on the Gateway Solution whenever it best suits." she says.
