QAS in the Community

QAS is committed to a programme of corporate social responsibility. QAS in the Community enables QAS to take a pro-active involvement in communities local to our London, Manchester and Edinburgh offices.

QAS has recently donated to the National Association of Clubs for Young People, the leading national youth organisation providing opportunities and activities for young people in the most disadvantaged areas of the UK. This donation will pay for the training of five new community sports coaches.

CPP Insurance, a QAS customer, organises regular fundraising events and on May 6th they staged the 2007 Lord Mayor's Charity Balloon Race in York. 2,500 red balloons, sponsored by QAS, T-Mobile and Barclaycard (among others) were released into the city centre. The event raised over £15,000 for The Samaritans and Homestart.

QAS in the Community continues to support the local Trinity Hospice in Clapham. More recently, along with other local businesses, QAS has donated towards the redevelopment of a new in-patient centre. This project is now well underway and will continue throughout the summer. We are hoping to raise even more money for Trinity over the course of 2007. We have also supported a number of charitable activities undertaken by our staff. These include the London Marathon and the British 10k run.
