Definition:
Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) is a contact and address database maintained by local authorities in the UK.
Previous address database lists held by local authorities were held in inconsistent and incompatible formats. As part of a central government initiative in recent years, local authorities had to modernise their processes in their services to the public. In affect, one address resource for a local authority area was created, eliminating previous repetitive processes.
As a continuing part of this process the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) was created.
