Sending data to QAS

Guidelines for sending and receiving sensitive data

QAS is committed to achieving the highest possible levels of data accuracy, security and integrity. Comprehensive data security systems and procedures are in place to:

  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of customer information at all times
  • Protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of customer information
  • Protect against unauthorised access or use of information that could result in harm or inconvenience to a customer.

To this end all sensitive data being despatched to, or by, QAS must be encrypted and password protected.

Sending data to QAS

STEP 1: Encrypt the data

Sensitive data must be encrypted to AES256 level. Methods supporting this form of encryption are:

STEP 2: Password protect the data

Data is only as secure as the password used to create it. Passwords must be at least 16 characters in length and not easily guessable.

STEP 3: Dispatch the data to QAS

Data can be dispatched to QAS via electronic (email or ftp) or physical media. Your QAS representative will provide the necessary address details and instructions.

STEP 4: Provide password details

On receipt of the data, a QAS representative will make contact to confirm its successful delivery and request the necessary password details.

Receiving data from QAS

All sensitive data despatched by QAS will be encrypted and password protected.

Once data has been dispatched, a QAS representative will be in contact to solicit confirmation that the data has been received and to provide the necessary password details.
