Data Quality

The government is finally recognising the challenges and opportunities of managing its data, according to Public Technology, with data quality solutions being utilised in order to better digest the data that is being generated.

Chancellor George Osborne recently stated that he wants to be at the “forefront” of the global market for data analytics, using the data generated to forge policy and support commerce.

A project at Imperial College London and University College London is helping businesses and the government exploit new data sets in a 'smart cities centre', providing quality data solutions in harnessing the wealth of knowledge available.

According to Public Technology, data needs to be easily accessible and presented in a visual, engaging and interactive way. Information is continually being collected and stored on a massive scale, and managing this data is as important as ever in modernising output.

Using data quality software integration provides an intelligent way of taking the 'tedium' out of data. Companies can now work with hundreds of millions of records at an interactive speed. This is particularly applicable to public sector organisations, which can use the software with limitless capacity. The lessons being: 'Stop seeing data as a burden'.ADNFCR-794-ID-801239213-ADNFCR
