Solihull Community Housing Association implements data strategy
- Feb 24 2009, 10:09 AM
Staff at Solihull Community Housing Association will now find it much easier to work remotely after the implementation of a new data strategy.
Working in conjunction with Solihull Council, the housing association commissioned Centralis to install Citrix XenDesktop, reports Publictechnology.net.
This new technology means duty managers will be able to securely access their virtualised desktop enabling them to work from any location.
The initiative is intended to improve best practice, increase efficiency and promote flexible working from the perspective of the single citizen view.
Ken Wilkes, Senior Technical Consultant at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, commented: "We have worked with Centralis and the Citrix product set for a number of years and for this latest project decided to implement XenDesktop as it fitted our needs perfectly at this particular time."
Centralis installed a desktop database management system connecting the 21 sites of the University of the Arts London as part of an efficiency drive to promote best practice at the institution.
