Contact Data Management

Research In Motion (RIM) may find contact data management proves useful as it may be forced to resolve customer complaints about recent issues with its internet services.

The makers of BlackBerry mobile phones has this week faced problems as users of its handsets in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa have been unable to access popular features such as email or BlackBerry Messenger on their device.

Pete Cunningham, Canalys Principal Analyst, stated it is likely to provide the company with a "test" of the loyalty of consumers, due to the "hugely competitive" nature of the smartphone market.

He pointed out that the corporation should have been "a little more proactive" in responding to customer comments in the affected regions, something he noted may have been made difficult to its Twitter account being handled in Canada.

Gavin Sathianathan, Facebook's Strategic Partner Manager, was recently quoted by Marketing Week as stating at Conversocial's Chinwag Live that the social network needs to handle customer service more effectively.  ADNFCR-794-ID-800757223-ADNFCR
