Direct mail 'proving popular again'

Businesses may benefit from sending direct mail rather than email bulletins to their customers, it has been suggested.
Writing for Black Star Rising, Wayne Ford, group design director of Haymarket Business Media, said the marketing form "may be making a comeback".

"If your email campaign isn't working for you, consider direct mail as an alternative. And if your email campaign is working for you, consider it as an addition to the mix," Mr Ford added.
A recent study carried out by Pure360 revealed that consumers are more responsive to email marketing at certain times of the day.
The research revealed that people are more likely to open mail concerning financial and lifestyle changes after lunch than they are in the morning, the Direct Marketing Association reports.
