Data management product unveiled

A data management product, DataFlux qMDM Solution for Customer Data, has been unveiled by data solution company Dataflux.
The master data management (MDM) tool has been specifically designed by the company to work in conjunction with products that Dataflux has already marketed such as Data Quality Integration software.
These products are intended to facilitate data management and MDM usage so that businesses are able to tailor databases to suit their specific needs.
Speaking to vnunet, Daniel Teachey, senior director of marketing at DataFlux said: "Since it is a major step forward for DataFlux, we decided to rebrand the offering as qMDM. The 'q' denotes the 'quality' technology that is at the core of this [offering]."
He added that the new products would add to the versatility of MDM databases so that they could be utilised for accounting and administrative purposes beyond customer data collection.
MDM is the process whereby businesses eradicate duplicate and erroneous data from their database. It also ensures that the various departments of an organisation are able to share data that could prevent them from inappropriately marketing products to customers.
