Consumers 'becoming more confident with online shopping'
- Nov 4 2009, 11:14 AM
British consumers are becoming more confident when it comes to online shopping.
This is the opinion of David Smith, director of operations for IMRG, who suggested that consumers are more savvy now with the way they shop than in previous times.
"Things like CardSecure are helping with payment issues and people are very confident now in terms of the payment side of things," he commented.
People are becoming much more comfortable with the payment technology surrounding online shopping, Mr Smith added.
Meanwhile, those concerned about identity theft were recently advised that signing up to a credit monitoring service could be of benefit.
Writing for myfinances.co.uk, Sarah Routledge noted that online checks can be useful for those who have been targeted by fraudsters in the past or people who feel they may be vulnerable to this kind of crime.
"Finding out quickly about fraud is important," she added.
