Best practice for Twitter may prove beneficial
Apr 19 2011, 09:17 AM
Advice on best practice when dealing with customers online may prove important for companies that are increasingly moving to communicating through social networking websites.
Director of Elemental Communications Tim Gibbon said: "Twitter currently presents a flexible, cost-effective method of reaching audiences that other socially driven resources are taking steps to restrict."
The communications expert stated that it has a possible advantage for businesses over other sites, such as Facebook, which have made changes making the launch of competitions - and other promotions - more bound by terms and conditions.
He added it is possible to deal with people easily through the site and the potential to make posts viral with minimal effort.
Dr James Bellini, business futurologist, recently suggested that advancements in technology witnessed in the past decade - including online portals - are becoming an increasingly important part of business life, which might force organisations to look at things differently.
