Address management tools to be sought by positive direct marketers?

Address Management

There may be greater demand for address management tools in the near future as direct marketing budgets increase.

According to the recent Marketing Agencies Association Agency Barometer, 87 per cent of respondents feel positive about the future, with the same percentage forecasting that their client budgets will be maintained or increase during the rest of 2010.

Meanwhile, 75 per cent think new business opportunities are close at hand, while 83 per cent believe their marketing budget could increase by more than ten per cent, reports the Direct Marketing Association.

Scott Knox, director of the Marketing Agencies Association, said: "It is encouraging to see agencies are remaining confident and upbeat about their own businesses, from client budgets and staff numbers to new business opportunities."

Address management offerings may be particularly sought after by charities running direct marketing campaigns after Overnight Prints columnist Mark Haslan noted recently that many non-profit organisations gain the majority of their funding through the advertising channel.
