What’s that I hear you cry blog followers “in the month that the Royal Mail increases stamp prices to 60 pence how have I changed my postal habits?” I’ll tell you…

I mentioned last blog that I was moving house, I’m now in the house and settling in nicely. There’s a big bit of me that loves buying cards and stationery so a new house called for some ‘New Address’ cards. Imagine my shock when I went to the Post Office to post my ‘New Address’ cards and handed over more than a five pound note for 12 stamps. The next time I move house I’ll definitely be considering ‘New Address’ emails instead; who knows how much a stamp will cost then.

Because I was sending my cards to friends and family I was sure of their addresses and knew the cards would get there and the proof came when ‘Congratulations’ and ‘New Home’ cards started landing on my doormat. But we can’t all be that lucky. A customers’ address given or taken in haste can result in errors. And errors lead to returned mail and your vital marketing collateral ending up in the bin.

Don’t waste your money sending post to the wrong address; just look how much cleaning addresses has helped Birmingham Hippodrome!
