Job Summary:

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager you will be delivering a value added cost effective recruitment service to the business. You will provide support and guidance to recruiting line managers and will be responsible for the effective delivery recruitment.

As part of the recruitment team you will drive the business towards a cost effective direct sourcing model and when required engage with PSL agencies. You will establish and maintain these relationships closely and provide commercial insight into the market conditions for the business.


Your aim will be to reduce Experian QAS' recruitment costs by using and exploring new innovative methods to attracting candidates to our business. You will also be tasked with reducing the length of time taken to fill vacancies across the company.

Part of your role is to up skill and coach managers on interviewing skills, and to accompany them if required in interviews. You will need to ensure all recruitment activity is compliant with current employment legislation and following best practice.

The focus of this role is operational hands on recruitment, however you will also be tasked to deliver on a number of value-added HR/ Recruitment projects in moving the HR department from a reactive support department to a value-add service department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage with the recruiting line manager and conduct an initial briefing to fully understand requirements of the role, coach and agree how you will best work together to deliver results
  • Ensure all job specifications are attractive to both internal and external candidates and are legally compliant
  • Monitor and track all KPI's inclusive of budgetary costs and spend, ensuring we are delivery and results focused as well as efficient!
  • Arranging, confirming and providing constructive and developmental feedback from interviews
  • Maintain the Recruitment branding of both the Experian QAS Intranet and website
  • Identify ways of reducing recruitment costs by sourcing alternative means of attracting good candidates, negotiating favourable agency rates, building relationships at university careers services, investigate advertising & promotional opportunities etc.
  • Observe and coach managers on interviewing skills as required
  • Provide support and information to recruiting line managers around legislation and correct recruitment protocol
  • Recruitment reporting on a monthly basis in line with HR metrics and scorecard
  • Continuous value adding project work to add value and drive growth of the business.

Skills Required:

It is important you have a strong commercially focused background in recruitment, ideally from an in-house environment however agency experience welcomed. You will need to be able to work unsupervised but also as part of a close team. The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation is essential, as well the capability of dealing with multiple tasks on a day-to-day basis. This role also requires someone with a good level of administration, organisation and time management skills.

  • Degree qualification (ideally but not essentially 2.1 or above), or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience of Microsoft Office is essential: Intermediate Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills: ability to multitask & prioritise workload

  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as a team player
