Our Quality Assurance Team:

You will join the Quality Assurance team. Here you will champion the improvement of Experian QAS products and services through quality assurance and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acceptance testing of QAS products prior to release to market
• Data testing for updates to QAS UK and World products
• Working with developers to find, document and resolve bugs in the product
• Manual and automated test execution
• Defect tracking
• Test Case creation
• Taking responsibility for testing activities including performance, component, usability, functionality, installation and documentation testing
• Taking responsibility for the quality of all final product images and shipping media
• Contributing to projects including programming and database work
• Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test Schedule creation for small projects
• Taking QA Lead responsibility for small projects
• Assessment and improvement of test processes throughout the development life cycle
• Training others in test-related skills

Skills Required:

• Degree calibre (ideally 2:1 class - scientific subject), good A-Levels or equivalent qualifications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Knowledge of Operating Systems, particularly Windows
• Knowledge of a UNIX operating system
• Experience with the use of word-processors, spreadsheets and databases
• Ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload
• Positive and professional approach
• Ability to communicate with staff at all levels
• Ability to work in a close-knit, professional team
• Initiative and a proactive approach to tasks
• Strong organisational ability
• Previous exposure of operating in a testing position
• Creative approach to testing
• Experience with the creation of Test Cases
• ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
• Knowledge of automated testing methods
• Knowledge of databases and/or SQL
