Professional Services department:
In the upcoming financial year the Professional Services department will be growing to 27 staff. It will comprise six distinct practices: Product Services; Single Customer View and Bureau; Enterprise and Public Sector; ID, Fraud and Authentication; Training; and Technical Account Management. Each practice will be responsible for the pre-sales and delivery of relevant Experian QAS solutions with the overall aim of improving the client's contact data management strategies.
The annual margin target for Product Services is £700,000 annual delivery target from the following services:

  • Product Installation
  • Integration Assistance
  • Integration ServiceS
  • Accreditation
  • Bespoke solutions
  • Audit - CDM360

Job summary:
This position has the responsibility for selling and delivering solutions to clients as well as driving the practice forward through contribution to the strategy. You will be required to work closely with all relevant teams and departments in Experian QAS in particular Product Management and Project Management.

Main responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this role are split into two main areas of delivery and pre-sales. As a part team your role is to understand client objectives and recommend solutions and ensure the purchased services by our clients are delivered on time

Delivery

  • Along with the other members of the practice, hold responsibility for achievement of the £1.9 million margin delivery target by achievement of the practice target
  • Taking full responsibility for the lifecycle management of solutions for customers throughout the UK
  • Managing the end-to-end delivery process in a consulting capacity from inception, design, build, test and implementation
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to scope and budget
  • Define, manage and enforce project management methodologies


Pre-sales

  • Provide pre-sales support by helping sales position QAS solutions, ensuring the correct requirements are scoped and facilitate the client's technical understanding of QAS products
  • Creative and thinking outside the box when scoping solutions.
  • Strong management of customers' expectations, always agreeing realistic scope, estimates and delivery times
  • Work with partners to develop, document, and drive requirements for joint QAS solutions

Your key objectives are:

  • Assist clients to achieve maximum ROI from their Experian QAS products in an efficient and timely manner
  • Proactively set and manage customers' expectations regarding functionality, scope, delivery times, estimates and ROI
  • Implement and utilise best practise pre-sales and delivery methodologies
    Provide proactive management of client expectations and delivery schedules
  • Provide pre-sales support; helping Sales position QAS solutions by correctly scoping and maximising the deal, and facilitate the client's technical understanding of QAS products
  • Work as part of a team to achieve the KPI's listed below

Key Performance Indicators:
In FY11 you will be measured on the following KPI's:

  • Annual Professional Services margin delivery target of £1.9 million
  • Annual practice margin delivery target, specified above
  • Customer satisfaction, minimum 87%
  • Time logging, minimum 95%


These KPI's are subject to change at the discretion of Experian QAS Management.

Skills required:

  • Focused on driving delivery and results
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship building skills at all levels - both internally & externally
  • Highly tuned organisation skills
  • The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), influencing and consulting skills
  • A logical approach to problem solving and strong troubleshooting skills
  • Graduate calibre (2.1 or above, ideally in computer science, maths, science discipline) or equivalent qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook & Project


Technical skills required:

  • Very proficient in developing in two of the following: .Net, Java, VB,PHP,C or C++
  • Experience of integrating API's and Web services
  • Experience working with a variety of platforms namely Windows, UNIX and AS400
  • Basic Knowledge of SQL Server or SQL Express
  • Experience providing advice and/or consultation to modify and improve business processes
