The Experian QAS technical functions cover the full range of activities you would expect in a software house. They can be categorised into product, customer and business areas. Technical departments embody the teamwork and fun spirit of which Experian QAS is justly proud. We place a strong emphasis on personal development and career progression.
The product teams include:
Product Development - Covers the whole of the software development lifecycle: analysis, requirements, technical specification, design, programming, documentation, software packaging and quality assurance.
Project Management - Responsible for managing the delivery of our products, from inception through to production sign-off.
Product Management - Focuses on the commercial success of our products. This means ensuring they fit the market, as well as planning new features for future product releases.
The customer facing teams include:
Technical Support - Here you will gain an excellent grounding in our wide range of products, the customers who use them and QAS as a business. As the first and second line of support for our customers, there's a lot to learn! The breadth of experience gained in Technical Support provides you with an ideal springboard into other Technical departments.
Data Updates Management - Here the focus is on ensuring that the huge amount of data that our customers use, in conjunction with our software products, is made available to them in a timely fashion. This data needs to be project managed from its receipt, through build and test processes, and then on to distribution to over 10,000 QAS customers - a major logistical exercise.
Professional Services - Our consultants provide pre-sales and implementation services to our customers across every aspect of contact data management. In pre-sales, solutions are devised to meet specific customer requirements. In implementation, these solutions are developed, tested and then deployed on customer sites. In Professional Services, you will find a great environment in which to develop both technical and commercial skills.
The technical business support teams include:
Information Technology - IT is responsible for keeping our hardware, operating system, email, global networks, internet access and phone systems up and running.
Information Systems - IS looks after our global Customer Relationship Management application Siebel, as well as our finance system and other internal databases. Siebel is used extensively throughout QAS, both in the UK and overseas.
New Media - If you have a passion for web development and multimedia, New Media are the team for you. Among other things they are responsible for QAS's intranet and website, as well producing multimedia for marketing campaigns and events.
